Tim has been
training for a long time. He is a very humble guy that just loves
to compete and try to improve every time he goes on stage. Tim has
a long competitive history, including Lightweight wins at the 2002
Western Canadian Tested Championships, and the 2003 Northern Alberta's.
I have known him for over a decade, from back when I was first
training at the gym in Grande Prairie. So when Tim approached me
this year to help him get ready for the Alberta Provincials, I was
very excited.
He trained very hard, despite having to work out of town in a camp
every second week. He stuck to the diet, and took dumbbells out
to camp so he could at least train some upper body. Through all
the less than ideal circumstances, he showed up in the best shape
of his life, and scored a Provincial win. Tim is proof that hard
work pays off, and good things happen to good people.
Since the Nationals are in Edmonton, and only 9 weeks after the
Alberta's, Tim decided he wants to continue on and compete with
the best in the country. I am very excited to work with him, and
promise he will be even harder for the Nationals. |
